Current ingredients (cooked as you usually cook soups. I love to make SOUPS): Veggies sautéed with coconut oil (I was out of butter...maybe the issue?) > acorn squash, zucchini, carrot, celery Plus noodles, chickpeas, veggie broth, salt/pepper (kept adding salt to no avail), combo of dried herbs (thyme, oregano, basil, bay leaf). I am sad and confused. It is so similar to other yummers soups I've made. :(

Okay in this case try adding an acid. Lemon helps with contrasting flavors. What is your main flavor you are tasting.

You also have a lot of sweeter flavors in your soup so salting will only go so far

Like literally nothing. If I eat a carrot I sort of taste that. If I eat squash, it tastes squashish.

Yeah throw a nice squeeze of lemon a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper

White vinegar is also a possible choice just don't go to crazy with it. Start with a tablespoon dependant on how much?

<!here> The call to *ADVENTURE* is in the air again! A 3 day weekend approaches, meaning we're way more likely to have time to spend a day on an adventure. Currently I'm thinking two options for hikes: :game_die: Lucky Peak (I realized I've never done it before) and a new one called "back door Stack Rock, I think" :door: . I think you can imagine which one will be more adventurous... The latter will definitely be a "follow Mama Duck" kind of experience that doesn't guarantee anything yet has the possibility of everything.

I could take us on that one Stack Rock hike I did once by accident. It was a mere 18 miles. Great stretch of the legs in the mountain scenery.

Additionally, I'm down for the one that has the potential to get everyone super lost. Sounds GREAT.

Tips on figuring out if a place is worth renting or not: GO. Aka I accidentally just fell in love with a little cottage on good sir craig’s list but I don’t know what to look for in non-apartment complex rentals. And I feel like I’d probably jump into something blindly.

Cost is always a good thing to consider

Whether or not you can have pets (cats) and what that costs

Doors are generally good

Check to see what the average cost of utilities is

Drive down the street to see how many hoodlums are hanging out

These are great. Creating a list of Qs now! open house tomorrow 2-3 and i’m doing the excite. I think it’s a “mother-in-law” apartment, separate from the house that they’re renting out. Cheaper than my current rent by a significant amount. Plus I can have cats (at no extra cost? unsure). geo-thermal heating.

It’s close to the north end, so it might be good. more east end though, across from St. Lukes downtown.
